Gold Set for patent mining – extracting knowledge from patent claims
New text mining technologies like chain and enumeration reasoning allow to understand highly complex patent claims. For example, the utility of chemical compounds is extracted by analyzing nested syntactic logical expressions. The technology has been shown to deliver higher recall and precision than human knowledge curation – utilizing a new Gold Set for patent text mining to evaluate the quality of advanced relationship extraction methods.
